Goomzee Awarded Grant For Job Creation Print

MISSOULA, MT: The Montana Department of Commerce has announced a $120,000 award from the Big Sky Economic Development Trust Fund Program to assist a high-tech Missoula-grown company with expenses related to the creation of 16 new good-paying jobs.

Goomzee, Corporation (www.goomzee.com) is a Missoula start-up company which has developed an innovative mobile marketing platform that helps real estate professionals connect with potential buyers.  The company has created 4 jobs in Missoula since 2007, and anticipates creating 16 more in the next two years.  “This grant funding will assist Goomzee in fueling our growth and hiring”, states Mike Sparr, CEO and founder of Goomzee, Corporation, “Goomzee, Corporation appreciates the support of the State to grow Montana-made companies.”

The application for funding was packaged by the Missoula Area Economic Development Corporation (MAEDC)and submitted by the City of Missoula.  MAEDC has been working with Goomzee Corporation since 2007, when MAEDC provided start-up working capital to the company.  “Goomzee is a great example of the Montana entrepreneur persevering through the arduous process of a company start-up, and coming out the other side experiencing well-deserved growth and prosperity,” stated Dick King, President/CEO of MAEDC.  “Goomzee is exactly the type of company we continue to assist for the creation of high-skill, high-wage jobs in Missoula.”
